The phones were ringing almost non-stop here on Friday at the Plastic Surgeon, with both new and existing clients wanting the services of our Fine Finishers. But it was only as business was finishing for the day that our sales team realised it had been a busier day than any other, and that a landmark had been reached.

24housing has launched its Retrofit Best Practise Campaign and Award 2010 and, as is traditionally the case, it is the social housing sector that will be leading the movement to tackle the eco-refurbishment of old homes. The rest of us will hopefully respond with some innovative, cost-effective and planet-saving projects across the UK.

The gradual recovery in construction, as well as the need to replace personnel lost through natural wastage, sees six new trainees begin their induction course with us at Plastic Surgeon this week; continuing a planned recruitment campaign that has taken Laurie King, National Operations Manager, to all parts of the country.
