“As pioneers of cosmetic repairs for the building industry over 20 years ago, we have been pushing the sustainability message for many years. It is good news that our service is now being accepted into the mainstream and by so many different industry sectors, and that we are getting national recognition for the environmental benefits of our repairs.”
Plastic Surgeon has developed a repair service that is available to businesses and homeowners throughout the UK. Continuous research and development has expanded the range of surfaces the company can repair from the basics such as plastic, metal, ceramic, enamel, wood, glass, stone and brick to more challenging surfaces like Perspex, Corian, rubber and acrylic.
Rob continues: “Plastic Surgeon’s cosmetic repair service minimises waste, reduces landfill, helps to cut carbon emissions and helps to preserve existing buildings. By taking on the damage inevitably caused by contractors during the build process, and helping to repair and maintain surfaces in existing buildings, our repairs to dents, scratches, chips and holes avoid the need to replace damaged items, thereby reducing the huge volume of material sent to landfill waste every week. Innovative use of technology throughout the business, such as a repair reporting system and snag reporting app, has contributed to our success”.
In 2011 Plastic Surgeon’s building repairs saved over 2,200 tonnes of damaged items from going to landfill waste.
