Jeans for Genes Day
Plastic Surgeon will be doing something extraordinary in jeans on Friday 18th September to raise money for Jeans for Genes Day.
Staff at Plastic Surgeon will be leaving their usual work attire at home and wearing their jeans on Jeans for Genes Day 2015, which takes place on Friday 18th September.
The team at Plastic Surgeon’s head office, which is based in Bovey Tracey, Devon, will be getting into the spirit of fundraising by hosting a pop up café that will see all funds raised through the sale of food – both cakes and salads for the more health conscious – go to charity, as well as making a donation of £2 each to wear their jeans on the day.
For health and safety reasons, Plastic Surgeon technicians out in the field across the UK will be unable to wear jeans, however they’re planning on displaying their support by wearing blue things, such as face paint. To incentivise the fundraising Plastic Surgeon is offering a reward to the team that raises the most money in the form of a free breakfast.
We all inherit a range of talents, skills and personality traits through our genes – they’re part of what makes us who we are. But 1 in 25 children also inherit a genetic disorder that makes their life very difficult. By pulling on a pair of jeans and doing something extraordinary in denim, we will be helping to fund the vital care and support services that transform their lives.
Jeans for Genes Day invites everyone across the UK, from nurseries and schools to companies and individuals, to wear their jeans for the day in return for a small donation.
