At Plastic Surgeon we’ve recently appointed another national account manager for our housebuild division as we look to support the growing demand for our fine finishing services within the sector.
Dan Vickery has been installed as our latest National Account Manager for housebuild in a bid to broaden our account management structure in the face of continuous growth, as we look to strengthen our capabilities and ensure our high-level of service continues to match demand.
The housebuild sector is one of our key areas of focus. We have a wide range of existing housebuild accounts, but as recognition of the benefits of our services continues to grow, our stable of clients is set to expand. By bringing Dan in, we’re both facilitating and anticipating this growth.
Dan has worked in the housebuild sector for 11 years, having previously worked in trade kitchens, where he secured large scale kitchen contracts with housebuilders ranging from developments of 10 new build properties up to 1,000.
Dan’s career path has seen him both branch and field based, meaning he has liaised directly with builders, giving him experience in dealing with site level employees, as well as working on contracts which provided him with a platform to deal with senior developers and key decision makers.
The varying requirements of each role has given Dan a broad understanding of the complexities of the housebuild industry at different levels, enabling him to spot specific requirements and challenges, meaning he can offer developers a balanced and in depth appraisal of the relevant Plastic Surgeon services to suit their needs.
Having previously worked for Benchmarx kitchens, a subsidiary of Travis Perkins, Dan was regarded as a ‘fixer’, where he would be tasked by regional directors to turn around the fortunes of failing branches by driving fresh business. This was something Dan achieved repeatedly during his time with the firm.
Dan Vickery said of his appointment: “I’ve extensive experience of dealing with housebuild accounts so I’m well positioned to use these skills in my role with Plastic Surgeon. I’ve primarily worked in the kitchen trade arena, but despite other job offers in that sector, I was drawn to Plastic Surgeon primarily due to its fascinating offering. Some of the repairs that its finishers can undertake defy belief!”
He continued: “I’m looking forward to gaining further understanding of the team’s capabilities, while embracing a new challenge and using my existing skills on a slightly different path – but one where the core principles of account management still apply.”
We’ve seen rapidly rising demand for our specialised services, covering a range of industries and we now have over 180 directly employed repair specialists – or Finishers – across our seven UK regions, all trained in a variety of skills.
We have invested in developing new repair techniques, which subsequently means we’re able to offer repair solutions for the widest possible selection of building substrates including masonry, metal, glass, ceramics and plastics.
