Scottish Division launches at Scotland Build

Plastic Surgeon is set to launch a dedicated Scotland Division, which will see it cater specifically for the region, thanks to growing demand and to better reflect the locality of its team.

Plastic Surgeon, which operates throughout the UK, provides surface repair to the construction and housebuild industry, using its specialist skills to fix damage caused during the course of construction projects. With a dedicated Scotland based team and amidst growing demand for its services, the firm plans to launch a specific Scotland division – with the official unveiling occurring at Scotland Build.

As part of the enhanced focus on the region, Plastic Surgeon has brought in a new Scotland sales manager to join the well-established existing team, who will be tasked with working with both new and existing Scottish construction and housebuild clients to ensure their needs are catered for.

Sandra Geddes, Plastic Surgeon’s newly appointed Sales Manager for Scotland, said: “Plastic Surgeon has sandra geddesbeen operating in Scotland for many years, but under the wider umbrella name, which encompasses the whole UK-wide organisation. However, the operation in Scotland is very much its own entity, with a Scotland based team and Scottish personnel including myself as the region’s dedicated sales manager. We want to portray a brand image that properly reflects that, so that both our clients and the guys at site level recognise the fact that it’s a local team.”

Sandra continued: “Having an extensive background managing accounts and client expectations within the industry in Scotland sets me in good stead to understand the challenges. My aim is to increase Plastic Surgeon’s Scottish capabilities, ensuring we deliver on our commitments.”

The launch sees new branding for the division, with a thistle logo now incorporated within the design, giving it a distinct Scottish edge, whilst also maintaining the essence of the original Plastic Surgeon branding.

The new branding has been incorporated onto the team’s vans and uniforms, with high visibility jackets sporting the Plastic Surgeon Scotland logo on the back.

At the Scotland Build expo, Plastic Surgeon will carry out live repair demos as well as have its team on hand at stand G20, ready to explain how surface repair can benefit the construction and housebuild industries.

The expo is set to take place on 23rd and 24th November in Glasgow, and will see some of Scotland’s major construction and housebuild firms exhibiting and in attendance.

Sandra commented: “We felt that Scotland Build would be an excellent place to officially launch our Scotland division as it puts us directly in front of some of the largest Scottish construction and housebuild firms. Plastic Surgeon has worked with most of them over the years, so the show will be a great opportunity for us to re-engage and properly demonstrate our reinvigorated offering.”

With 17 Fine Finishers based in Scotland, a dedicated operations manager and a sales manager for Scotland, Plastic Surgeon has the largest team of repair specialists in the region. In addition, should requirements need it, the firm can call upon over 140 Fine Finishers based elsewhere in the UK to supplement its Scotland based team.

Providing both internal and external surface repair, the cosmetic repairs offered by Plastic Surgeon reverses the effects of accidental damage and natural wear and tear. Crucially, repairing rather than replacing offers an environmentally friendly and economical alternative.

Plastic Surgeon has invested in developing new repair techniques and as a result it offers repair solutions for the widest possible selection of building substrates including masonry, metal, glass, ceramics and plastics.

Having operated in Scotland for many years prior to the formation of its dedicated Scotland division the firm already has a long list of clients it has worked with in the region, including Barratt Homes, Robertson Construction, McCarthy and Stone, Stewart Milne and Cala Homes.

Sandra Geddes concluded: “The services Plastic Surgeon offers are becoming more and more in demand, as recognition of the benefits of repair over replacement continues to increase. Scotland is one of the regions where this is most prevalent, so we really want to increase the visibility of our services, whilst at the same time reassuring our customers that the team carrying out the work are close at hand. Plastic Surgeon’s dedicated Scotland Division serves to reinforce that, and I’m extremely pleased to be in place for the launch of it.”
