As a new £73 million community healthcare facility in South Wales approached handover, a team of Plastic Surgeon’s fine finishing and cosmetic repair specialists were involved in carrying out the diverse range of snagging jobs that inevitably require to be done in the latter stages of a large construction project.
With so many different departments across the 18,000 square metre building, addressing all the small dents, chips, scratches and other damage caused by the movement of materials and the many trades involved has placed a considerable workload on the main contractors.
We repaired nearly 1,400 items and carried out over 9,000 individual repairs on this site, saving over 45 tonnes of damaged cills, windows, doors, facias, toilets, cupboards, worktops, flooring and tiles from going to waste. Some of the more challenging repairs were to damaged basins. One example shown here, demonstrates how our Finishers skilfully managed to repair a badly chipped basin.
